Located just three miles south of Main Street, Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park serves as Fredericksburg’s primary destination for outdoor recreation. The 330-acre grounds feature shaded picnic areas, playgrounds, and walking trails that wind along the tranquil waters of Live Oak Creek. Visitors can take advantage of numerous athletic facilities, including tennis and pickleball courts, baseball fields, and sand volleyball courts. During the summer months, the park’s outdoor swimming pool provides a popular spot to cool off.
