The Vereins Kirche Museum, affectionately known as the "Coffee Mill Church" due to its unique octagonal shape, sits at the heart of Fredericksburg in Marktplatz. This stone structure is a 1935 replica of the original 1847 building, which served as the town's first church, school, and community gathering space. Today, it operates as an extension of the Pioneer Museum, offering visitors a glimpse into the lives of the early German settlers who founded the community.
The Vereins Kirche Museum is located at 100 West Main Street, right in the center of Marktplatz in downtown Fredericksburg.
The original building was constructed in 1847 and served as a church, school, and meeting place. It was demolished in 1897, and the current stone replica was built in 1935.
Admission is $5 for visitors age 6 and older, while children 5 and under are free. Entry is also included with the Pioneer Museum Day Pass, and the museum is cashless.
